Portfolio - Everything You Need To Know

ISE Computers assists many companies in developing and implementing IT solutions to meet their needs.

As well as working with home users, our engineers are trained and fully experienced in the installation, configuration and trouble-shooting of IT systems.

EPOS, Barcode & Backoffice Integration

The client for this project was a trade supplier who also ran a retail outlet from their warehouse. They stock thousands products, with several daily deliveries of replacement stock. ISE Computers was brought in to develop a system that would speed up despatch of goods for trade customers, simplify the sales process for cash customers, reduce the backoffice workload and improve stock control.

We upgraded their existing accounts software to a networked version and added a computer at the front counter. We added barcode scanning to quickly enter items onto the software for both trade customers and retail customers. A dispatch note without pricing is printed for trade customers, a VAT receipt is printed for retail customers. Trade orders are held on the system until the month end at which point any agreed discounts can be applied, and then an invoice is raised and posted.

The system has proved to be both reliable and successful, significantly reducing staff time previously spent manually writing out dispatch notes and manually typing invoices to enable more time to be spent assisting customers and marketing products.

Online Member Interactive Forum

This project involved creating an internet based interactive member forum, to allow members of the organisation to discuss topics, and ask/answer questions. The system had to be secure and yet user friendly and simple to access and use. The forum also had to be branded to match the client’s corporate image. The forum was built within their existing website, which was also designed & implemented by ISE Computers.

The system we implemented enabled the client to completely manage all aspects of the member forum including adding new members, adding new topics and moderating posts. Other features included a calendar to enable forthcoming events advertised and private messaging to enable members to communicate with each other directly, without disclosing their e-mail address.

The new online member forum has been a big step forward for the organisation, allowing members to freely exchange information and ideas.
